Virtual/Augmented Reality Platform for Simulation Training

The adoption of  Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) simulation training in healthcare has gained significant traction in recent years as a powerful tool for medical education, training, and patient care. One of the key advantages it offers is the ability for practitioners to hone their skills within a risk-free environment before conducting procedures on actual patients. Our research focuses on the development of an immersive VR/AR platform expressly tailored for simulation training featuring interactive avatars. This platform is further enhanced with haptic feedback mechanisms and precise anatomical models, thereby rendering a remarkably realistic training experience.

Key topics :

  1. Immersive virtual reality platform antenatal simulation training
  2. Virtual avatar-based interactive learning
  3. Analysis of human-robot interaction in virtual and augmented environments
